This is to gauge the level of interest for a course of this nature. There is no obligation to attend if you register your interest, but the duration and cost are likely to be as shown below.
Course comprises 6 one-day sessions on alternating Saturdays
10am to 5pm (42 hours of CPD)
Worcester, (M5 Jct 6 or Jct 7)
CBT has a reputation of being cold, robotic or unfeeling. This course will show you that it is anything but, when used sensitively and knowledgeably.
This course makes the assumption that the delegate is already qualified and working in some capacity as a therapist (see pre-requisites). It begins from the perspective of a Person-Centred (primarily Humanistic) stance, and makes the transition into CBT by using existing relationship-building elements and then adding to them with therapeutic interventions and theory.
This course will not give you a CBT qualification as a full-time year-long diploma would, but will add an array of skills and understanding to your "toolbox" which can be integrated into your client work.

You must also belong to a society which holds an Accredited Register and currently be on that register.
About the trainer
I qualified in CBT at Level 5 in 2010, and qualified at Level 6 in 2015. I am in private practice and use CBT with clients every day.
Before I was a counsellor, I worked in IT for over 30 years (and I still do sometimes, you never really escape from IT).
I have been teaching and training for over 30 years, both in IT and counselling (teaching to diploma level).
The likely fee for this course will be £420-£450. This includes tea/coffee/biscuits, handouts and a certificate of attendance for each topic covered.
